Which digital editions exist?
Rockstar lists Grand Theft Auto VI (Standard) and Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition as digital editions. It also confirms Standard Edition owners can purchase the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately later.
What about pre-order extras?
Rockstar says qualifying digital pre-orders and purchases before 20 November 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack and a month of GTA+. The pack includes a '55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern.
What about physical copies?
Rockstar's published support information describes a physical code-in-box product without a game disc, with codes available ahead of launch to allow pre-loading. Check your retailer's listing and your console account region carefully.
Which should you buy?
If you just want the game, compare the Standard Edition against your budget. Do not spend more on Ultimate unless its published extras are worthwhile to you. Rockstar says an upgrade path is available later.
